The newest reality show: Editor Wars

Chris Hughes is one of the dudes from Facebook who made an assload of money. I think he was played in The Social Network by Joey Fatone or something.

Steven Brill is a longwinded article-writer whose stuff appears in The New Republic and Time.

Hughes bought The New Republic and Brill was set to put an article featured on the cover about healthcare.

Brill described the cover to The Huffington Post as “ridiculous.” He said it featured an underwear-clad young man strapped to a desk chair with “duct tape wrapped around him and IV tubes coming out of him.”

In all fairness, that sounds more like it belongs on the cover of Playgirl than The New Republic.

“It was something you would do if you were really drunk and ran the college newspaper,” Mr Brill said about the cover.

Catty!

In other words, both Time and The New Republic are completely irrelevant anymore and it’s like two people slapping each other on the bow of the Titanic.
