The current White House has no love for Fox News. Never has a news network been singled out by an administration on such a repeated, targeted basis.
Just recently, “White House Communications Director Anita Dunn characterized Fox News as a network that is ‘crumbling.’”
Dunn is the same woman who classified Fox as “opinion journalism masquerading as news.”
Why doesn’t she say the same about MSNBC? Their stars “Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O’Donnell and…Schultz and Sharpton were invited to the White House in December to advise the President on taxes.”
And it’s not because MSNBC is influential, either: “Nine out of the top ten highest-rated cable news shows are on Fox. Fox has easily been #1 in cable news for the past 11 years.”
The only thing crumbling is the White House’s ability to write their own narrative, even with all major networks, print journalism, and MSNBC in their back pocket.
If you throw the game that much and people still watch Fox in record numbers, it says a lot more about the lack of your ability to communicate effectively and more about their abilities thereof.
