Geraldo Rivera, who is still searching for Al Capone’s vault, verbally sparred in a recent segment with fellow Fox News commentator Eric Bolling over the terrorist attack in Benghazi.
During the attack, security guards protecting the US Ambassador to Libya were fighting off protestors storming the embassy. Witnesses say the guards were told to “stand down” by higher-ups in Hillary Clinton’s State Department—effectively leaving the ambassador open to attack (who was later found dead due to smoke inhalation when protestors burned the embassy compound).
Geraldo claims that “stand-down” order never happened.
Essentially, Geraldo argues that there was no wrong-doing by the Obama administration or Hillary Clinton’s State Department that led to the Benghazi attack.
War correspondent and former Hollywood agent Pat Dollard contended with this, claiming on Twitter:
@GeraldoRivera would’ve strangled Amabassador [sic] Stevens with his own two hands if it would’ve kept @BarackObama in power.
Them’s is fighting words.
Geraldo responded twice, 23 hours apart.
@PatDollard asshole (1:40 PM – 31 May 2013)
@PatDollard you’re still an asshole (12:10 PM – 1 Jun 2013)
It’s good to know that Geraldo has nothing better to do than to tweet obscenities at those who disagree with him.
Here’s to hoping that this fight escalates for our amusement.
