The Hangover, Part IV

They’ve made another version of the Hangover.

And while you all collectively groan, this isn’t The Hangover Part III.

This time, it’s a Chinese kid who just turns 21 and his friends take him out to get him hammered.

For me that’s not a movie, that was real life every week in the dorms at UCLA.

But this Hangover copy is unique in one way:

Rights activists have criticized a Hollywood studio for filming a buddy comedy in an eastern Chinese city where a blind, self-taught activist lawyer is being held under house arrest and reportedly beaten.

Well, there’s a twist that wasn’t in the original movies.

But come on, what do you expect the movie studio to do? Pull an Argo and rappel in to rescue the guy?

Actually that would be pretty cool.

Fuck Hangover III, I’d rather watch that shit instead.
