Every once in awhile you hear about what could possibly be the dumbest burglar. Either he leaves his wallet, or falls asleep in the house, or does something equally embarrassing to the “honorable profession” of burglary.
But in Fresno (a place that, after this story, I’m not proud to call my hometown), two burglars racheted “stupid” all the way up to 11:
Two California men were arrested on burglary charges last week for an alleged burglary they might have gotten away with – had they not accidentally called 9-1-1 and let emergency dispatchers listen as police say they broke into a car.
Now I’m not gonna lie—Fresno PD doesn’t always do the most crackerjack job, but when you’re as dumb as this, even a potato could catch you.
