Candidate Romney, who arguably has done more heroic acts than any candidate since Teddy Roosevelt, has “paid more taxes than he was legally required to, has never made a dime in politics (he refused his salary as Governor and as president of the Utah Olympics and has said he would donate his salary as president to charity) and yet still donated more to charity than Obama and Biden combined”, yet was still not the “compassionate” choice in the past election according to some.
So when a recent report came out that “Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign quietly donated nearly $90,000 to the Red Cross in late November, according to a report filed Thursday night with the Federal Election Commission”, those who said “Compassion matters!” to support Obama look like fools.
It’s too bad we couldn’t have had such a kind, humble, giving man as president now.
Instead we have a petty, self-aggrandizing, yet still giving (of taxpayer’s money only) in the office.
Our leaders reflect our values. What a great message we send to the world.
