Facebook did you dirty, folks.
You know those “sponsored stories” that appeared on Facebook’s sidebar or news feeds? The ones that said “Your friend Kristi Kockwrangler ‘likes’ StupidExpensiveShit.com, JOIN TODAY AND GET 2.4% OFF A T-SHIRT”?
Facebook didn’t really have a right to use Kristi Kockwrangler’s name or likeness, and now “[a]ffected users — that is, people who ‘may have been featured in a ‘Sponsored Story’ on Facebook prior to December 3, 2012’” are entitled to a staggering $10.
So if you get the email (Kristi) take up the offer and treat yourself to a Zuckerberg-sponsored lunch!
