It seems like every week, we see a story about a cop who in some way sexually harasses a suspect.
This week comes out of Memphis, where former officer Brandon Berry pulled over a man with an outstanding warrant and forced the man to suck him off “in order to avoid a trip to jail”.
In Lakeland, FL, an officer got caught on cam asking a woman to lift up her shirt at a traffic stop for a burnt out headlight:
That’s when Brugger says the stop took a turn for the worse with Lakeland Officer Dustin Fetz asking her to pull her shirt up to her stomach and flip up her bra underwire, not once, but twice.
“I felt pretty degraded and humiliated,” said Brugger. “I was being forced to do this right in the middle of the road.”
This abuse of office is disgusting. Most of these victims are likely scared and just want to comply to get the whole thing over with. It sounds like some cops need a reality check to show they don’t rule the roads and can’t coerce citizens they’re supposed to protect into sex.
