Celebrity releases the anti-celebrity fragrance

Adam Levine is the frontman for Maroon 5, the judge on The Voice, and the guy your girlfriend would leave you for if he looked in her general direction.

He also has a pretty entertaining Twitter.

In a recent Tweet, he said, “I also would like to put an official ban on celebrity fragrances. Punishable by death from this point forward.”

Finally, he and I can agree on something.

So many were miffed when Levine turned around and released his own celebrity fragrance. Some even started pulling out the guillotine.

But it turns out—he’s got an ace up his sleeve.

All right, I typically hate celebrity fragrances. It’s not that I hate celebrities and it’s not that I hate fragrances. It’s that when I see them, I don’t necessarily believe the people who were promoting them were particularly connected to what they were making.

I see what he did there.

While I’m pretty sure Mariah Carey can’t even remember that she has a fragrance, he actually got involved with what he made.

Still though, celebrities who make fragrances should be punishable by death.
