The crew at the whatever channel caught up with some kids celebrating 4th of July in Isla Vista, CA, also known as the beachy college town of UC Santa Barbara, one of the drunkest cities in the US.
Similar to Jay Leno’s “man on the street” spots, the interviewer asked them some basic 4th of July questions: namely, what are we celebrating, who is Benjamin Franklin, how many stars/stripes are on the flag, etc.
Of course a lot of the answers were wrong, and kind of goofy, but let’s be honest:
How many of you would, after about 6 beers, be able to accurately answer the above?
Even out of the heavily-edited clip, I was still impressed at the kids who got it right.
Perhaps we should all take a citizenship test drunk, and then compare the results. I feel that the answers would be mighty interesting.
