If shirts could talk…

You can make a museum exhibit out of anything.

If you’re Tilda Swinton, you can sleep in a box.

Emily Spivack, creator of the Smithsonian’s fashion history blog, turned her obsession with buying clothes online into an exhibit.

She includes a shirt from the Civil War, a blood-spattered 1920s dress worn by a mobster’s girlfriend, and an original Playboy bunny costume from the Sixties.

After scouring online, Spivack noticed that “sellers are compelled to include these personal anecdotes because of what they might add to their clothing’s value.”

If Spivack is interested, I’m asking $150 for a pair of my undies from the Taco Bell Incident of September 2008. Mint condition!
